St. John’s News and Notes for July 16, 2023

ST. JOHN THE APOSTLE EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Dear Friends:
As many of you know, our beloved Royce Tasker will be celebrating his 100th birthday this August. His family is working on several events where the Texoma community can show their heartfelt appreciation for his life and work.
Please mark your calendars for Friday, July 28th at noon at the VFW in SHERMAN. Channel 10 Radio will cover the event, and the VFW will present him with a plaque and an American flag. Cake will be served. And I hear the Mayor of Sherman will declare July 28 as ROYCE TASKER DAY!!!!!!
The Tasker family will also be hosting a party at a local Mexican restaurant for Royce. Tentative date is August 5. More details on that event are pending.
For more information, please see Kathy and Mike Cleland. And plan to attend one or both events to show our support for Royce.

In Christ,
The Rev. Dr. Marci Pounders+Rector
