A Note About COVID

Dear Friends:

All of us are concerned about the continuing spread of the Omicron Variant, as well as the older variants of COVID 19 including the Delta Variant. Most of the congregation at St. John’s are vaccinated or have developed immunity through having suffered through some stage of the virus.

We at St. John’s want everyone in the congregation to be happy and healthy. If you are choosing to stay home and watch us on-line, that’s great. If you come to church in person and wish to wear a mask, please feel free to do so. Our Bishop is recommending that people mask up, but we are in Grayson County in a largely rural area. I am not requiring this of you if you are fully vaccinated and do not wish to wear a mask.

If you feel ill or are exhibiting any symptoms of illness, please do not attend church services until you recover. Getting a negative COVID test before returning is even better.

If you have not been attending worship services out of an abundance of caution, please know that we respect your decision; we miss you and are looking forward to the day when this pandemic will both be a past memory and not impede the ability of anyone to attend church in person.

Yours in Christ,

Mother Marci+
