  • About St. John's

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ!

On behalf of the people and vestry of St. Johns, you are invited to join us as we worship, serve and praise God together!

St. John’s is a warm and loving parish in the Episcopal tradition. When you visit our church, you will experience inspiring worship, uplifting music, teachings from the Bible, lively social events and service to the Texoma community and beyond.

St. John’s is a family. Once a month we gather for a Potluck meal (Episcopalians love to eat!). We gladly feature men’s and women’s bible studies.

We also take our faith, and our prayer lives seriously here. We pray for each other. We have an active Daughters of the King Chapter at St. John’s continually engaged in prayer for all who ask.

Please explore the pages of this site to find out more about us.

Welcome to Pottsboro... The Home Of St. John’s Episcopal Church

Established in 1876 by pioneer James A. Potts, the town thrives with the heritage of its early days as a railroad stop. We are located on the border of the vast Lake Texoma.

The area offers great Striper fishing, championship golf courses, and interesting adventures to places like...

North Texas Regional Airport + Museum

Originally operating as a military base from 1941 to 1971, it trained tens of thousands of U.S. and Allied pilots and aircrews. Today, the site has transformed into the North Texas Regional Airport (NTRA). The airport is also home to the Perrin Field Historical Society and Perrin Museum, organizations dedicated to preserving the history of Perrin Army Airfield and Perrin Air Force Base.

Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge

It was established in 1946 to provide habitat for migratory birds, wildlife, and plants native to the area. It provides a habitat for more than 300 species of birds and many varieties of wildlife.
